Peggy Ruth Brooks, 78, of the Pilot Oak and Cuba communities in Kentucky died 2:17 p.m. June 9, 2009, at Murray-Calloway County (Ky.) Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom, with the Rev. Rick Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Cuba (Ky.) Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Brewington, Jeff Brewington, Michael Brewington, Tommy Lindsey, Douglas Webb and Gaylon Moore.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Saturday.
She was born May 28, 1931, in Graves County, Ky., daughter of the late Thurmon and Lorene (Sisk) Yates. She was the widow of James Stanford Brooks and was a homemaker who had lived in this area since 1988, when she moved from Peoria, Ill.
