The fourth annual “Trash N Treasures” yard sale weekend will be July 3 and 4 from 8 a.m. until dusk and July 5 from 1 p.m. until dusk or the owner’s discretion in the Reelfoot Lake area.
The route will begin at Highway 22 North coming from Union City and go around highways 21 and 22, including the “washout” area. The route will end on Highway 78 in Ridgely. Yard sales will also be set up at the National Guard Armory in Tiptonville for those who are not on the actual route.
Those who wish to set up sites for selling may send $5 to the Reelfoot Lake Tourism Council at 4575 State Route 21 East in Tiptonville to be included on the yard sale map and placed on the Web site. These maps will be available at businesses displaying the sign “Yard Sale Maps Here” along the yard sale route.
These businesses will also provide the opportunity to register in special red cans for a cash drawing. A concession stand featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, cheeseburgers and soft drink will be open at the American Legion on Highway 21/22 and there will be a flea market there July 4-5.
Scenic pontoon cruises will be available at Reelfoot Lake by calling (731) 253-9652 for reservations.
For information about the event or lodging, call the Reelfoot Lake Tourism Council at (731) 253-2007 or visit www.reelfoottourism.com.
