Tennessee Tractor trying to purchase Vincent Implements
Tennessee Tractor, LLC. confirmed Tuesday its plans to purchase Vincent Implements.
Once the sale is complete, Tennessee Tractor will take over the Martin, Union City and Paris Vincent Implement locations.
In a phone conversation Tuesday, Tennessee Tractor Human Resources and Marketing Manager Steve Wimberly told The Press if something doesn’t change, the transition would become effective July 1.
“This gives us the opportunity to expand. We currently have six locations across West Tennessee and this will give us three more locations in Northwest Tennessee,” Wimberly said.
Tennessee Tractor, LLC. is a corporate-owned John Deere licensed dealership that provides equipment as well as tractors.
Wimberly said there were no immediate plans to hire additional staff members for the three locations and the company plans to keep all of the current Vincent Implement employees.
“There will be no titled store manager because we are a corporation. We have a general manager, and corporate parts, service and sales managers,” Wimberly explained.
Tennessee Tractor’s corporate headquarters are located in Alamo.
Wimberly said the store hours would possibly change as well for the three locations in Martin, Union City and Paris.
“I think they operate different hours than we do. We are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon. Then, of course we have extended seasonal hours during the busy times of the year,” he added.
Vincent Implements is a family-owned licensed John Deere dealership. The business is well-known for its many contributions and sponsorships throughout Weakley County.
General Manager Johnny Vincent said a buy-sell agreement has not been finalized and he was not ready to comment as of press time.
