Golden Living Center announces activity list

Golden Living Center in Union City has announced the following activities for June 6-13.
Saturday: Coffee will be served in the main dining room at 9:30 a.m., followed by an exercise class provided by Ruby Jones of Union City at 10. Afternoon activities will be per resident request.
Sunday: Baptist Temple Church in Union City will hold Sunday school at 10 a.m. Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City will have afternoon service at 3:30. Stanley Chapel Church near Union City will hold Sunday night services at 6:30.
Monday: The beauty shop will be open all day, with services provided by Metta Sisk of Union City. One-on-one visits with residents will be held 7-9 a.m. A New Beginning with Reelfoot Baptist Church will hold visitation and services from 9:30-11. Rose Huey of Hornbeak and Lisa Holloman of Kenton will hold singing and a devotion time from 1 to 2.
Tuesday: Coffee and News Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. A game of balloon volleyball will be played at 10:30. A game of Wheel of Fortune will begin at 1 p.m. Terry Phillips of Union City will provide singing and a devotional at 7.
Wednesday: Coffee and News Club will meet in the main dining room at 9:30 a.m. Crossroads with Jean Jackson of Union City will be at 10:30 in the dining area. The Rose Brushes, a resident artist group, will begin a series of paintings in still life at 2. A scavenger hunt through magazines will begin in the south dayroom at 2:30. Reelfoot Baptist Church will hold evening services at 7.
Thursday: The beauty shop will be open all day. Coffee and News Club will meet at 9. Bishop Street Church of Christ in Union City will provide a Bible study at 10. Gerri Barber of Union City will host bingo with the residents at 1:30 p.m. The Golden Tones will practice for choir at 2.
Friday: Coffee will be served in the main dining room at 9:30 a.m. The residents will work on sentence puzzles at 10:30. A popcorn social will be held at 1 p.m. A game of washers will be played at 2.
Saturday: Coffee and News Club will meet in the main dining room at 9:30 a.m. Dennis Quinn of Hornbeak will provide Bible study at 10. Afternoon activities will be per resident request beginning at 2.
