The Obion County Recycle Center is now accepting No. 1 and No. 2 plastic from households on a daily basis. The No. 1 PETE will generally be items like water, soft drink, juice and cleaner bottles. The No. 2 HDPE will generally be items like milk and water jugs, bleach bottles, detergent and shampoo, plastic bags, household cleaners and butter tubs. Only No. 1 and No. 2  plastic will be accepted.
All plastics containers must be rinsed out thoroughly and separated into the two different types of plastics.
Recycling center hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. For more information, call 885-8109.
