The Community Foundation of Louisville is now accepting applications to the Brian Jennemann Memorial Scholarship Fund, a perpetual endowment fund created by Brian’s parents to honor his life and commitment to helping others. On July 20, 2001, Brian passed away after a brief battle with meningococcal meningitis. Brian was a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the Jefferson County (KY) Emergency Medical Services who was known for his love of the profession.
The Brian Jennemann Memorial Scholarship Fund awards four scholarship grants annually of up to $1,500 each to the most qualified applicants who demonstrate a desire and commitment to being a paramedic. Applicants must be 18 years or older and accepted into a certified paramedic training program. Selections will be based on the applicant’s passion for paramedic training and commitment to serving the public. Grants will be paid directly to an educational institution, fire department, city, county, municipality or other organization that offers a licensed, certified paramedic training program.
To be considered, a completed application form, plus all required documents and attachments, must be received or postmarked by no later than July 15, 2009. The required application form may be printed directly from the Foundation’s website at www.cflouisville.org. To receive an application form by mail, or for more details, contact Gail Sanders at (502) 585-4649 or gails@cflouisville.org.
