Miss Scott, Berry to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Cassie Marie Scott of Atlanta, formerly of Union City, and Jack Wesley Berry Jr. of Atlanta are being announced today.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Barbara Scott of Union City. She is the granddaughter of Gordon and Ruth Scott and the late Charles and Marie Barnett, all of Union City.

She is a 1998 graduate of Union City High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2002 and a master of science degree from UTK in 2003. She is employed by the Atlanta Public Schools.

The groom-elect is the son of Myra Berry and the late Jack Wesley Berry of Atlanta. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James L. Berry of Rome, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson D. White Jr. of Subligna, Ga.

He is a 1992 graduate of Brandon Hall High School in Atlanta. He received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi in 1997. He is employed as an aerial surveyor for Jack Berry and Associates Aerial Surveys.

The couple will exchange vows during a private ceremony in Atlanta this summer.
