Local students earn UT honors

Students from Weakley County earning academic honors at the University of Tennessee Knoxville fall term 2008 were Erica Collins, college of agriculture science and natural resources, Cum Laude and Gerica Maclin, college of business administration, Magna Cum Laude, both of Greenfield; and Matthew Harber, college of arts and sciences, Cum Laude and Kristen White, college of arts and sciences, Summa Cum Laude, both of Sharon.
Students whose term average is 3.8 through 4.0 earn summa cum laude. Those who make 3.65 through 3.79, earn magna cum laude, and those with a grade average of 3.5 through 3.64 earn cum laude.
