Virginia Ann Walker Burke

Virginia Ann Walker Burke, 66, of Gleason, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at her residence.
Services were held 2 p.m. Friday at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel in Gleason with Bro. Nathan Horton and Bro. Keith Dublin officiating. Burial was in Royster Cemetery in Sharon.
Rick Legens, Jeremy Legens, Dusty Legens, Jerry Parrsley, Kevin Cunningham and Rusty Jones served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Burke was born May 7, 1943, in Martin, daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Grace Burrows. She was a seamstress and member of Gleason First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Burke of Gleason; two sons, Calvin (Lisa) Capps and Eddy “Bobby” (Freddie) Capps, both of Dresden; one stepson, Kenneth Burke of Warner Robbins, Ga.; two daughters, Lisa (Rick) Legens of Gleason and Vickie (Shane) McDaniel of Union City; two stepdaughters, Pam Bray and Paula Sullivan, both of Gleason; three sisters, Frances Parsley of McKenzie, Jean Cunningham of Gleason and Faye Snow of Latham; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
