To sell Vidalias

Members of the Union City Civitan Club will be at Tractor Supply and at the parking lot of the former Reelfoot Packing Co., both on West Reelfoot Avenue in Union City, Thursday beginning at 9 a.m., to sell the popular Vidalia onions from Georgia. A 10-pound bag of the onions will sell for $10, with all profits going to the Civitan Club’s crippled children’s project.
A Civitan spokesman praised the support of the community for projects related to children in the past and said a successful Vidalia onion sales effort will make a significant difference in the club’s commitment to help crippled children.
