Lilly May Drummond, 94, of Trimble, mother of Danny Ray Clanton of Kenton, died May 26, 2009, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, with burial following in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble. Dr. Bill Oakley will officiate and pallbearers will be Tracy Clanton, Brian Clanton, Shane Stafford, Matt Stafford, Joe Clanton, Chance Clanton, Cole Clanton, Chase Clanton and Justin Pope. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Moore.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
She was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Waverly, daughter of the late Wakeo and Minnie Shelton. She was the widow of Leonard Clanton and was a homemaker and a member of Trimble First Baptist Church.
Survivors also include her daughter, Judy Stafford of Trimble, and 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Franklin Clanton and Jerry Clanton.
