Did you know one of the most important things you can do for your minister is to pray for him or her? I believe, if ministers and churches worked together more as a team, we would have stronger and more effective churches.
When I go to a new church, I usually try to enter into a prayerful covenant with my people. I know how important prayer for each other is.
Even simple things, can enhance the relationship between minister and church. A birthday card, an Easter card, a special batch of cookies can do wonders to help the pastor and his or her family feel a part of a new church.
Most ministers do not go into the ministry for the “pats on the back.” But ministers are human and they like to be appreciated when they do something worthy of appreciation.
If your minister has been in the ministry for even 10 years, he has already preached at least 500 sermons, not counting other occasions.
If your involvement in your church, is a little or a lot; please consider praying for your minister on a regular basis.
It could make a tremendous amount of difference!
God bless you all.
