Miss Reedy honored with bridal party Posted: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 8:02 pm The dining area of the family life center at First Baptist Church in Union City was the setting for a bridal luncheon honoring Abby Reedy of Troy, bride-elect of Bryant Cruce of Union City. The bride-elect is the daughter of Chuck and Maria Reedy of Kenton. She is the granddaughter of Raymond and Rita Reedy of Troy and Lois Hogg and the late Ed Hogg of Samburg. The groom-elect is the son of James and Carla Cruce of Union City. His grandparents are June Sedberry and the late Buddy Sedberry of Union City and Martha Cruce of Fulton and the late Russell Cruce. Hostesses for the event were Ish Griffith, Betty McWherter, Betty Holt and Shannon Stover, all of Union City. They presented Miss Reedy with a crystal water pitcher. The tables were draped in white linen cloths and centered with mirrored plaques holding crystal vases of pink bridal roses with greenery. The credenza held an arrangement of multi-colored roses from the garden of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Ragsdale. There were also crystal candlesticks holding white tapers. Guests were served California chicken salad on lettuce with fresh fruit and croissants along with fruit tea. They also enjoyed fresh strawberry cake and coconut cake. Miss Reedy presented gifts to her attendants. They were given earrings to match their dresses for the wedding and a monogrammed bath wrap-around. The honoree wore a shimmering dark gray crepe dress of black sequins and black sandals and a corsage of tiny white rosebuds with silver ribbon trim to complement her attire.
