Miss Kendall, Pritzel to wed Posted: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 8:02 pm The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Emily Ruth Kendall of Troy and Dennis Pritzel of Columbia are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Steve and Camille Kendall of Troy. Her grandparents are James R. and Margie Kendall of Troy, Carolyn Stricklin of Atoka and Bill and Melva Stricklin of Old Hickory. She is a 2005 homeschool graduate of Gateway Christian Schools in Memphis. She graduated summa cum laude as a University Scholar from the University of Tennessee at Martin this month with a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. She is a member of University Scholars Organization, Reformed University Fellowship and Martin Japanese Karate Dojo. The groom-elect is the son of Wendell and Susanne Pritzel of Columbia. His grandparents are Gertrud and Helwig Rees, of Briedel, Germany, and Jackie Pritzel and the late Arlie Pritzel of Harrah, Okla. He is a 2005 graduate of Columbia Central High School in Columbia. He graduated cum laude this month from UTM with a bachelor of science degree in cell and molecular biology. He plans to attend Des Moines University School of Podiatry in Des Moines, Iowa, in August. He is a member of Reformed University Fellowship and Martin Japanese Karate Dojo. The couple will wed 2 p.m. June 20 at First Presbyterian Church in Dyersburg. Music will begin at 1:30.
