WCSD seeking answers
A home burglary and church vandalism this month have the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department seeking answers.
In a press release issued Tuesday, the department reported a home on Meridian Road outside of Greenfield was the target of a burglary Sunday, April 12.
Items taken from the rural Greenfield home included several thousands of dollars worth of diamond jewelry.
A rural church was also the target of vandalism, according to the WCSD.
The department noted that sometime between April 19 and April 25, suspects entered Sandhill Baptist Church outside of Gleason and left the building with a busted window.
The church is located on Sandhill Road just miles outside of Gleason.
The release states the church has been the target of several break-ins recently.
WCSD investigators are asking anyone with information regarding either incident to contact the department at 364-5454 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-364-8479.
Reports to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and a reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a reported crime.
