Horton to perform senior voice recital

The University of Tennessee at Martin’s Department of Music will present Erin Elise Horton’s senior recital at 3 p.m., April 26, at the Harriet Fulton Performing Arts Theatre. Horton, a music student from Murfreesboro, will perform songs that include soprano arias and a duet from operas such as “Alcina,” “The Enchantress” and “Lakme.” Composers Henri Duparc, Georges Bizet and Leo Delibes are featured in the French set. Renaissance pieces of John Dowland, accompanied by classical guitar, and German Lieder by Franz Schubert also are included. Delana Easley, lecturer of music, will accompany Horton on the piano; Ken Fackler, instructor of English, will provide the guitar accompaniment; and Jeff Moore, a music student from Camp Hill, Pa., will accompany Horton on percussion. This recital will be free and open to the public.
