The Messenger. 12.29.08 Guy I. Earle, 70, of Fulton died 1:30 p.m. Dec. 24, 2008, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with Jere Hughes officiating. Burial was to follow in Palestine Cemetery near Fulton. He was born July 9, 1938, in Fulton, son of the late Lee Eldon and Marilyn (Newton) Earle. He married the former Nancy J. Burden Jan. 27, 1960, in Las Vegas. She survives. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who had lived most of his life in Fulton, where he had been Fulton City Chief of Police until his retirement in 1999, and in Las Vegas, where he was an agent for the Gaming Control Board. He was a Master Mason and a member of Roberts Lodge No. 172 in Fulton and was a member of Fulton Rotary Club. He had been a Metro Motor Sergeant in Las Vegas from 1965-1986, and he was a member of South Fulton’s Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors also include his daughter, Deanna J. (Earle) Tull Crippen of Las Vegas; his nephew, Wiley Pinson Sr. of Fulton; two grandchildren and their spouses, James and Kristi Tull of Paris and Guy I. and Meredith Tull of Las Vegas; and five great-grandchildren, Kimberly Tull and Austin Tull, both of Paris, and Kelsey Tull, Hayden Tull and Oliver Tull, all of Las Vegas.
