The Messenger. 12.26.08 Mary Lou (Lee) Hooten, 96, of Union City died Dec. 25, 2008, at Obion County Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Triangle Cemetery in Troy, with the Rev. George Hickman officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. There will be no visitation. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 11, 1912, in Obion County, daughter of the late James R. and Rebecca (Isbell) Lee. She was a homemaker and she attended Troy Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Doris Baker and Carolyn Northam, both of Union City, and Nina Tatum of Tiptonville; her brother, George Lee of Brookhaven, Penn.; four granddaughters, Teena Robinson of Sharon, Donna Watkins of Ridgely, Brenda Smith of Caruthersville, Mo., and Shirley Cody of Rives; six grandsons, David Lynn Jones and Glenn Farley, both of Ridgely, Larry Farley and Steve Farley, both of Troy, James Baker of Union City and Billy Baker Jr. of Brookhaven, Miss.; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
