Completed arrangements are being announced for Doris Giles, 73, of Hickman, Ky., who died Dec. 16, 2008, at her home.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ in Hickman, with the Rev. James Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be James Esters, Tony Udley, Lawrence Cheirs, Richard Holloway, Morris Crumble and Jan Udley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Curtis, Roy Swift, Mark Fitts and Ricky Alexander.

She was born May 30, 1935, in Hickman, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Adam) Dunlow. She was the widow of James L. Smith Sr., whom she married in 1953. On July 11, 1998, she married L.C. Giles, who survives.

She was a retired employee of the former Morning Star Nursery near Union City.

Mrs. Giles is also survived by six sons and three daughters-in-law, James Smith Jr., Ocie B. and Ella Mae Smith, Bobby Smith, Selmore and Mary Smith and Richard Smith, all of Hickman, and Corey and Felisha Smith of Fulton; four daughters and her son-in-law, Dorothy and J.T. Ceaser, Mary Ann Crisp, Hattie Smith and Lisa Smith, all of Hickman; her sister, Julia Mae Browning of Hickman; and 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry L. Smith; her grandson, Anthony Smith; and several sisters and brothers.
