Jessemond Frances (Woods) Biggs, 94, of Tampa, Fla., a former resident of Obion County, died Dec. 15, 2008, in Knoxville at Hillcrest Healthcare Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Hornbeak, with burial following in Hornbeak City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 16, 1914, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Robert Caleb and Julia Emiline (White) Woods. She was the widow of Robert G. Barner and Earl S. Biggs.

Mrs. Biggs was an executive secretary for 20 years at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and was a Methodist.

Survivors include her daughter, Frances Gentry Barner of Tijeras, N.M.; her granddaughter, Laura Louise Trundle of Lake Oswego, Ore.; her great-grandson, Robert E. Trundle of Tijeras; two nieces, Loretta Woods of Coral Gables, Fla., and Pat (Woods) Baynham of Arlington, Va.; and her nephew, Robert Clay Woods of Arlington, Va.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Clay Woods and John Augustus Woods; and her sister, Laura Alyce Woods.
