TWO WEEKS RUNNING – In the 13th Annual Kentucky Cheer & Dance Classic (KCDC) held Saturday, Dec. 13 in Murray, Ky. the Martin Middle School cheerleaders walked off with top honors. Numerous squads from the quad state area put their routines to the test in several different divisions with Martin Middle in the Large Middle School/Advanced.The KCDC allows both UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) and NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) guidelines to be utilized. Not only did Martin Middle come home with a first place trophy, they also captured the “Best Choreography” and the “Grand Champion” title. The “Grand Champion” title means they had the “highest” score of all the squads in all of the divisions. This title also earned them $300.
