Bridal courtesies held for Miss Hitt, Myers

Several bridal courtesies were held recently honoring Rebecca Hitt, bride-elect of Phillip Myers, both of Bowling Green, Ky. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hitt of South Fulton. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Myers of Bowling Green. MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER A miscellaneous shower was held recently in the home of LeAnn Freeman of Bowling Green. Co-hostesses for the event were Pamela Felts and Yachtney Sugg, also of Bowling Green. Games were played and guests were served ham and biscuits, sausage balls, Williamsburg bread, apple salad, assorted fruits, caramel cake and punch. Special guests attending were the mothers of the couple and Catherine Yeager, grandmother of the groom-elect. BRIDAL COFFEE A bridal coffee was held in the home of Patty Arnold of Union City. Co-hosting the event were Angie Keathley, Cathy Waggoner, Claudia Maness, Kim Moran, Patricia Seagraves, Kay Smith, Mitzi Hopkins, Debbie Hepler, Glenda Cozart, Marsha Houston, all of Union City, and Jo Kathryn Maddox of Martin. The honoree and her mother greeted guests as they visited and enjoyed an array of quiches, pastries, assorted fruits, coffee and punch. The hostesses presented Miss Hitt with a Lenox Vintage Jewel Frost serving spoon and slotted spoon from her bridal registry. COUPLES’ SHOWER A couples’ shower was held in the country home of Richard and Cherry Davidson of Union City. A wine and cheese event was enjoyed. Co-hostesses for the event were Allison and Jared Becksfort of Germantown, David and Mary Hellen Johnson, Alan and Linda Graham, Jimmy and Rene Flood, Wayne and Judy Barker, Selena Sedberry, Steve and Regina Sedberry, Jimmy and Martha Stewart and Robert and Cheryl Young, all of Union City, Rick and Jan Everett of Dresden and Jerry and Sandra Davis of Samburg. Members of the bridal party and their spouses, along with family and friends of the honored couple, gathered to celebrate their engagement and forthcoming marriage. A delicious assortment of appetizers, pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and beverages was served. The hosts honored the couple with a hand-painted gold leaf serving platter. CHURCH SHOWER A bridal shower was held in the fellowship hall of Second Baptist Church in Union City. Hostesses for the event were Brenda Williams, Pat McCarver, Robbie Speed, Jane Brann, Kay Smith, Diane Spalding, Patty Arnold and Vicky Cooley, all of Union City. Cookies, brownies, nuts, mints, fudge and soft drinks were served as the honoree opened and displayed her gifts.
