Elizabeth Evelyn Woodard, 93, of Dresden, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at her home. Services were at 10 a.m. today at Bowlin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Billy Ross officiating. Burial was in Olive Branch Cemetery between Como and Cottage Grove. Blake Chandler, Eric Chandler, Blaine Woodard, Shawn Woodard, Carey Romoser and Eddie Simmons served as pallbearers. Mrs. Woodard was born July 1, 1915, in Gleason, daughter of the late Arvin Winstead and Gertrude Irene Russell Tucker. She was a homemaker, a member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church in Como and the widow of Gerald Gradley Woodard. Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Ray) Chandler of Puryear, Janice Wolfe of Milan and Carolyn (Ned) Parker of Englewood, Fla.; three sons, Joe (Brenda) Woodard of Camden, Norman (Jo) Woodward of Palmersville and Terry (Debbie) Woodard of Dresden; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Tucker of McKenzie; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
