Mr. and Mrs. Don Capps of Sharon and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cate of Bruceton are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter and son, Caroline Cassidee Capps and Darin Eugene Cate. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd and Frances Penick of Sharon and Nadine Capps of Sharon and the late Paul Capps. Miss Capps is a 2001 graduate of Westview High School and a 2006 graduate of Dyersburg State Community College with a degree in nursing. She is currently employed as a nurse in the surgical-trauma intensive care unit at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. The groom is the grandson of the late William Greene of Forest City, N.C., the late Virginia Greene of Meridian, Miss., and the late B.E. and Elise Cate of Knoxville. He is a 2002 graduate of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School, a 2006 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor of science in engineering, and a 2008 graduate of Colorado State University with a masters of science in mechanical engineering. He is currently employed as a design engineer at Performance Friction Corp. in Clover, S.C. The couple will be united in marriage at 3 p.m., Jan. 3, at Sharon First United Methodist Church. Music will begin at 2:30. A reception is to immediately follow at Hampton Centre in Union City. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Only out of town invitations will be sent. After a honeymoon in Antigua the couple will reside in South Carolina.wcp 12/2
