Norris Dame, 88, of South Fulton, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Ky., with the Revs. James Lawson and David Bayer officiating. Burial was at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Dame was born March 8, 1920, in Brighton, son of the late John Hudson and Jimmie Lee Webb Dame. He was an electrician for the Illinois Central Railroad and a member of the Robert’s Masonic Lodge No. 172, the Shriners Club and the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church in South Fulton. Survivors include his wife, Novella Dame of South Fulton; a son, Tom C. Dame of Cotter, Ark.; a daughter, Nancy Lee Moore of Mountain Home, Ark.; a stepson, Ronnie Lee Jones of Martin; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Lloyd Edward Jones; a grandchild; and a brother, John Dame Jr. The family requests memorials be made to Roberts Masonic Lodge No. 172, 111 Clanton St., Fulton, KY 42041.
