Emily Fussell Cavin, 80, of Martin, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Freeman Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Terry English, Susan Varner and Scott Jewell officiating. Burial will be at East Side Cemetery. Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Cavin was born April 2, 1928, in Dickson County, daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Brown Fussell. She was the widow of Harold Cavin and was a member of Freeman Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Croom of Dyer; three brothers, Murray Fussell and David Fussell, both of Dickson, and Lonnie Fussell of Oak Ridge; a sister, Hazel Peters of Dickson; four grandchildren, Tracy Jones of Houston, Texas, David Croom, Michael Croom and Brent Croom, all of Dyer; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Thomas Blake Croom. Web site: wcp 12-2-08
