The Third Review Club met recently in the home of Nancy Richards. The group then traveled to Trenton to visit the Tea Pot Museum. The 525 porcelain tea pots on display at the Trenton City Hall were donated by the late Dr. Frederick Freed, who practiced medicine in New York for many years. He was the son of a prominent family in Trenton and decided to leave his vast collection of tea pots to his family’s home town. The narrator gave a very interesting history of the tea pots and the Freed family. The group of 15 ladies visited the original Freed home for a delicious lunch served by several volunteer ladies. Mary Dunavant read a Veterans Day Prayer and also asked the blessing. A short business meeting was conducted following lunch. The motion was made and seconded to donate $25 to Chimes for Charity and plans were made for the Christmas luncheon to be held Dec. 12 at noon in the home of Bernice Shore, with Kate Jones as co-hostess. Hostesses will provide the meat and everyone is asked to bring a dish for the meal. After the meeting, the group toured the Freed Home, which has several family artifacts on display.
