Dublin Arts Council Hosts Noel Nights

DUBLIN, Ohio—(Nov. 18, 2008) Dublin Arts Council invites the community to Noel Nights a festive evening designed for guests to welcome in the holiday spirit while browsing a unique selection of arts and gifts for all ages. This special open house takes place Thurs. and Fri., Dec. 4 and 5, from 5 to 9pm in the Dublin Arts Council Gift Shop, 7125 Riverside Dr., in Dublin. DAC will feature a trunk show of folk art collectibles by The Cat’s Meow Village of Wooster, Ohio, including the debut of three Dublin landmarks – the Dublin Arts Center, Ha’Penny Bridge Imports of Ireland and The Brazenhead Irish Pub – as featured in Ohio magazine’s “Best Hometowns” issue. The DAC Gift Shop features handmade items by local artists, holiday ornaments and cards, jewelry, ceramics, host and hostess gifts and more, including: Functional pottery by Dublin’s Tim Frederich Handmade glass snowmen by Mike Wallace of Sylvania, Ohio Pewter artworks (including Celtic-inspired designs) by Akron sculptor Don Drumm Scenes of domesticity gone slightly awry by Columbus painter Judith Viero Limited edition etchings and the delightful book “I’m Just a Cat Mattress,” from Columbus artist and illustrator Susan Sturgill. A variety of sizes and price ranges encourage creativity with every purchase. Discounts of 20 percent will be offered on all gift shop, gallery and trunk show purchases during Noel Nights and gift-wrapping is complimentary. The Dublin Arts Council Gift Shop offers an intimate space for truly inspired gift-giving and all purchases support artists while benefiting Dublin Arts Council programs.
