The Messenger. 11.19.08 Completed arrangements are being announced for Frances Monette Shaw, 81, of Union City. She died 4:34 p.m. Nov. 17, 2008, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Beulah Cemetery near Union City with the Revs. Gail Gaddy and Kenny Locke officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Dilday Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be made to Beulah Cemetery Association, in care of Bob Stephens at 1020 East Main St., Union City, TN 38261; or Guest Resources, 620 Skyline Drive, Jackson, TN 38301, attention, Hospitality House. Mrs. Shaw was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Fulton County, Ky., daughter of the late Herman and Mossie (Argo) Gaddy. She married Ernest B. Shaw Sept. 25, 1945. He died Aug. 21, 1994. She was a retired secretary for Walt Disney World and was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Chené of Union City and Lisa Meharg of Reno, Nev.; her sister, Sue Nipp of Union City; her brother, the Rev. Billy Gaddy of Memphis; two grandchildren, Brandon Meharg of Winfield, Ala., and Jillian McGee of Reno; and her great-granddaughter, Sage Annmarie McGee of Reno.
