The University of Tennessee at Martin football team is ranked 18th in The Sports Network’s Football Championship Subdivision Top 25 and the FCS Coaches Poll.
UT Martin (8-3) will host Eastern Kentucky (7-3) at noon on Saturday at Hardy M. Graham Stadium.
The winner will claim the Ohio Valley Conference championship and the league’s automatic bid to the FCS postseason playoffs.
Otherwise in the polls, James Madison holds down the No. 1 spot, while Appalachian State is No. 2 and Cal Poly is No. 3 in both polls.
Northern Iowa and Montana are fourth and fifth in both polls.
Making a return to both polls this week is the OVC’s Jacksonville State, which defeated Tennessee State, 26-21.
The FCS Coaches Poll is based exclusively on a voting panel of head coaches in the FCS under the cooperation of the Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA) and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and is administered by the Southern Conference.
Two head coaches from each of the 14 FCS conferences participate in the voting.
