Joanne Trimble Miller, 72, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford, Ill. Services were held at 12 p.m., Nov. 8, at McCorkle Funeral Home in Rockton, Ill. Burial was at Floral Lawns Cemetery in South Beloit, Ill. Mrs. Miller was born Oct. 23, 1936, in Gila, Ill., daughter of the late Albert Franklin and Carmen Evon Weaver Trimble. She worked with her husband in their family-owned construction business, Melvin Miller Remodeling, for 45 years. She was a member of North Park Church of Christ in Machesney Park, Ill. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Melvin Ben Miller; two daughters, Cynthia (Randy) Gaylord of Sharon and Christina (Richard) Fairchild of Rockton, Ill.; a son, Benjamin (Shawn) Miller of Loves Park, Ill.; two sisters, Sarah Jane Holobaugh of Peoria, Ill., and Lillian (Harry) Danz of Beloit, Wis.; four brothers, John (Cindy) Trimble and Walt Trimble of Caledonia, Ill., Terry (Linda) Trimble and Victor (Arlene) Trimble of Cherry Valley, Ill.; five grandchildren, Carmen (Scott) Chandler of Medina, Kimberly (James) Maloan of Milbrook, Serena (Andrew) LaPonsie, Benjamin II (Chyanne) Miller, Cassandra (Jim) Brannon, all of Loves Park, Ill.; and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Albert Trimble; and a sister, Judith Kay Trimble. Condolences may be left online at wcp 11-18-08
