Benjamin Randall “Big Dog” Watson, 43, of Martin, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at his residence. Services were held 1 p.m. Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home, with Bro. Lowell Wiley officiating. Burial was in West Union Cemetery, Dresden. Shaun Jones, Eddie Cole, Webb Hall, Andy Langley, Johnny Elkins and Steve Adams served as pallbearers. Watson was born in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Barnie and Vera Mansfield Watson. He was a salesman for E. C. Pawn and Gun Shop and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Tracey Elkins Watson of Martin; three daughters, Christina Jones, Amber Debosky and Annie Mitchell, all of Martin; one son, Benjamin Van Watson of Gleason; his stepmother, Sheila Watson of Dresden; his mother-in-law, Dale Sills of Martin; four sisters, Belinda Hogland of Elk Grove, Ill., Shelia Davis of Sharon, Anita Wilson of Seminole, Fla., and Rhonda Hobbs of Martin; three brothers, Lynn Watson of Amboy, Ill., Richard Watson of Paris and Ricky Hobbs of Dresden; and three grandchildren, Alyssa King of Gleason, Randi Jones and Macon Jones, both of Martin. He was also preceded in death by one son, Tyler Klutts; and two brothers, Buddy Watson and Phillip Watson. Web site: wcp 11-18
