The Messenger. 11.14.08 Cynthia K. Landa, 51, of South Fulton, formerly of Hickman, Ky., died Nov. 14, 2008, at her home. A memorial service is planned for Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Fulton First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Lang Ingram will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday. Rawls Funeral Home in South Fulton is in charge of arrangements. She was born Oct. 7, 1957, in Chicago, daughter of Mary (Evans) Bateman of Antioch, Ill., and the late Walter Bateman Jr. She was a homemaker and she attended David’s Chapel Church in Hickman. She was married to Taral Landa of Chicago, who survives. Survivors also include four daughters and her son-in-law, Brandy and John Hutchens of South Fulton, Cassie Landa and Stephanie Landa, both of Hickman, and Tammy Ciesielski of Lombard, Ill.; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Terry and Darlene Bateman and Perry and Robin Bateman, all of Cicero, Ill., Kerry and Carlene Bateman of Chicago and Rocky Bateman of Antioch, Ill.; her sister and brother-in-law, Shiela and Stan Skord of Antioch, Ill.; and four grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Bateman Jr., Randy Bateman and Jerry Bateman. Family and friends may leave condolences at www.rawlsfuneralhomes.com.
