The Messenger. 11.12.08 Completed arrangements are being announced for Elmer Lee Amptman, 90, of South Fulton, who died Nov. 10, 2008, at his home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church in Fulton, with the Rev. Albert Bremer officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in South Fulton. Friends may call at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton 5-8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Edward Catholic Church, 504 Eddings St., Fulton, Ky 42041. He was born April 12, 1918, in Darden, Mo., son of the late Frank and Rosa (Price) Amptman. He was married to the former Mary Nell Roach, who survives, and was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. He was the retired regional manager of JICase Co. and had moved to this area in 1994 from Oklahoma City, Okla. He is also survived by four daughters, Delores Mae Gillette of Warrenton, Mo., Sharon Lee Steffe of Fenton, Mo., Helen Louise Colter of Maplewood, Mo., and Lisa (Amptman) East-erwood of Troy; his stepdaughter, Linda Ruth Hankerd of Thornton, Colo.; and six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Amptman; three brothers, George Amptman, Urban Amptman and Venable Amptman; and his sister, Mabel Wortmann.
