Final plans announced for Miss Shepherd, Key

Final plans for Kelly Shepherd of South Fulton and James “Ja” Franklin Key of Troy are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Charles “Sonny” and Sue Ann Shepherd of South Fulton. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Allyne Shepherd, Peggy Holloway and the late David Holloway, all of South Fulton. The groom-elect is the son of JR and Sharon Lambdin and the late Frank L. Key, all of Union City. He is the grandson of Jean Calhoun, the Floyd Calhoun, Lucille Key and the late Tom Key, all of Union City. The ceremony will take place Saturday at 5 p.m. at South Fulton Baptist Church. Music will begin at 4:30. Dr. Ron Cox of South Fulton, pastor of the church, will officiate. Dee Dee Baker of South Fulton, cousin of the bride-elect, will be the maid of honor. Bridesmaids will be Pamela Graves of South Fulton, Jacqueline Moody of Troy and Krista Davidson and Kayla Bayko, both of Water Valley, Ky. Flower girls will be Sara Beth Key of Troy, niece of the groom-elect, and Alania Sanchez of St. Louis, cousin of the bride-elect. Organist will be Pam Baker of South Fulton, great-aunt of the bride-elect. Brandi Griffin of Union City will be vocalist. The position of best man is being left unfilled in memory of the groom-elect’s father. Tom Key of Union City, uncle of the groom-elect, will light a memory candle. Groomsmen will be Joe Key of Troy, brother of the groom-elect; David Shepherd of South Fulton, brother of the bride-elect; Clint Workman of Union City and Brandon Dillon of Troy. Ushers will be Trent Dowdy of South Fulton and Brett Kirk, Brad Phelon and Waylon Matheny, all of Troy. A reception will be held immediately after the ceremony at Pontotoc Community Center in downtown Fulton. All friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend.
