Gremillion Christening
Gremillion Christening —Anderson “Andi” Grace Gremillion, daughter of Gant and Jenny Bell Gremillion of Covington, La., was christened Oct. 5 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington. Attending the ceremony were her grandparents, Phyllis and Mike Gremillion of Covington and Paula and Danny Bell of Martin; Alicia, Brian and Baylor Webb of Nashville; Kristy and Luke Simms of Natchitoches, La., and Mary and Andy Czubak of Metairie, La. Andi wore an 83-year-old ivory gown that was handmade by her great-great grandmother, the late Eunice Davis of Martin, and was worn by her great-grandmother, Sue Bell of Martin when she was a baby. The dress was intricately detailed with ivory embroidery around the collar and sleeves, with an embroidered scalloped edge around the bottom of the gown. She wore a sterling cross necklace and bracelet, given to her by her parents. She also wore an ivory lace and ribbon trimmed “keepsake hanky” bonnet that was given to her by her godmother, Alicia Webb. A reception was held afterwards at the home of Phyllis and Mike Gremillion. Friends and family were served cake, punch and hors d’oeuvres. wcp 11-11-08
