CRAFT TIME — Each month the Obion County Public Library and the University of Tennessee Obion County 4-H program team up to provide workshops for children in grades K-4. These workshops provide students with vital life skills such as independence, self-esteem, how to work well with others and the ability to think creatively. October’s workshop focused on Halloween. Youth created pumpkin picture frames and a Halloween decoration. Participants included (clockwise, from left) Jorge Espinoza, Kaily Long, Junior High 4-Her Marissa Howard, Madelyn Hogan, Lauren Kendall, Chase Aldridge, Jenny Cantrell, Anna Kendall, Junior High 4-Her Nancy Davis, Senior High 4-Her Katie Beth Vancleave, Brady Harrison Vickery, Junior High 4-Her Mary Helen Driver, Hannah Flatt, Jonah Flatt, Hannah Rice and Andrew Rice. The next workshop will be held Wednesday. Pre-registration is required by calling 885-7000. Published in The Messenger 11.11.08
