Mrs. Elam celebrates 90 years

Eula Mai Elam, long-time resident of Union City, recently celebrated her 90th birthday at Another Thyme Restaurant in Union City. Mrs. Elam is the widow of Elbert M. Elam, who was the manager for the former United Cities Gas. Attending were her sister, Pauline Olive; her nephew, George David Olive and his wife, Marie; and four of her five children, Sandra E. Smith and Billy Joe Smith, Larry Elam, Bob and Jennifer Elam and Mary Jane and Johnny Quinton. Others attending were her grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Julie Smith, Tracy and Brian Goldsmith, Sandi Bennett, Daphane Elam, Bridgette and David Whitaker, Bill Elam, Neil and Jan Quinton, Sarah Quinton and LeAnne and Derek Merritt. Also attending were her great-grandchildren, Megan Smith, Shelby Goldsmith, Carson Goldsmith, Kaitlyn Bennett, Seth Bennett, Ethan Whitaker, Cody Elam, Davin Merritt, Lauren Merrit and Mary Claire Quinton.
