The Messenger. 11.10.08 Charles Junior Anderson, 90, of Union City died Nov. 9, 2008, at his home. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at East View Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Leggett officiating. Friends may call at White-Ranson Funeral Home from noon-2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers. He was born May 17, 1918, in Moscow, Tenn., son of the late Oliver Arch and Elvie Elizabeth (Canaday) Anderson. He married the former Mildred Dee Wright in 1970. She survives. He was a chef for Olympia Steak House in Union City and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He was a member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City. He is also survived his sister, Audrey Readenour of Union City; two sons, Christopher Anderson and Harry Anderson, both of Florida; eight stepchildren; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
