The Messenger. 11.07.08 Billy Gene Bone, 75, of Union City died Nov. 7, 2008, at his home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Ararat Cemetery near Troy, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Friends may call at White-Ranson Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be Benny Ping, Gary White, Fred Clayton, Lacy Clayton, Gene Bone and Randy Barnes. He was born March 27, 1933, in Obion County, son of the late Jewell Bone and the late Evelyn (McCain) Bone. He married the former Allie Katherine Clayton Aug. 28, 1982. She survives. He was a retired employee of Crop Production Services of Union City and had also been an iron worker for Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors also include his son, Bobby Jewell Bone of Union City; two daughters, Deborah Bone of Booneville, Ark., and Cindy Brewer of Bartlett; two grandchildren, Cameron Smith and Kristin Smith, both of Bartlett; his step-daughter, Robin Hepler of Newbern; three step-grandchildren, Candice McMahan of Troy, Crystal Hepler of Martin and Clay Hepler of Obion; his step-great-grandson, Tucker McMahan of Troy; his brother, Jackie Bone of Union City; two sisters, Teresa Ping of Union City and Rhonda White of Tiptonville; and several nieces and nephews.
