MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Volunteer State Health Plan (VSHP) has built out its BlueCare and TennCareSelect networks in West Tennessee, ensuring access to quality health care for its TennCare enrollees. Participating network facilities include Baptist Memorial Hospitals, Delta Medical Center, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and West Tennessee Healthcare. “Our TennCare enrollees throughout West Tennessee will have access to all their most- trusted health care facilities in the region,” said Sonya Nelson, president and CEO of VSHP. “We appreciate and value the partnerships with these providers and are looking forward to working with them to best meet the needs of those served by TennCare.” VSHP’s contract to manage and deliver integrated physical and behavioral health services to approximately 175,000 TennCare enrollees in West Tennessee went into effect on Nov. 1, 2008. Network contracts with Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and Community Health Systems will remain in effect until Dec. 31, 2008.
