The Messenger. 11.05.08 Bradley Nathan Strain, 39, of Hornbeak died Nov. 3, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Tiptonville First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Carr officiating. Pallbearers will be Chase Griffin, Jeremy Hearn, Brent Griffin, David Ayers, Courtney Gardner, Kelly Tippit and William Butler. Burial will follow in Ridgely in New Haven Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Tiptonville First Baptist Church. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born April 24, 1969, in Tiptonville, son of Nathan and Brenda (Eaves) Strain of Tiptonville. He had been employed at Northwest Tennessee Correctional Complex near Tiptonville for 14 years and was self-employed. He was a Baptist and an avid horseman. Survivors also include his wife, Shelley (Black) Strain; three daughters, Jessica (Strain) Gardner and Kelly Strain, both of Dyersburg, and Brooke Strain of Hornbeak; his son, Bradley Nathan Strain Jr. of Hornbeak; and two sisters, Terri Lynn Griffin of McKenzie and Amanda Hearn of Tiptonville.
