Completed arrangements are being announced for Ruth Mildred Nation, 89, of Samburg. She died Oct. 27, 2008, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Gary Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Justin Forrester, Joe Denton, Robert Griffin, Frank Jones, Doug Hensley, Glen Jones and Jackie Collier.
She was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Lake County, daughter of the late Harvie Dillard and Lallie May (Cravens) Collier. She married Bill Nation Dec. 24, 1936. He died June 3, 1983. She had been the owner and operator of Bill Nation’s Camp at Reelfoot Lake since 1954 and was a member of Samburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Forrester of Union City; her granddaughter, Kim Hensley of Troy; her grandson, Justin Forrester of Norfolk, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Franklin Holt Jones and Keisha Nicole Jones, both of Union City, Kylia Cierra Hensley of Troy and Madison Rhea Forrester and Abigail Grace Forrester, both of Norfolk; and two great-great-grandchildren, Carson Jones and Caden Pollock, both of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl Collier; and two grandchildren, Tonja Renee Forrester and Franklin Forrester Jr.
