YOUTH PASTOR WELCOMED — The Rev. Lori Eilers is the new full-time children’s pastor at Union City First Assembly of God. She and her husband, Randy, moved here from Iowa, where both were born and raised and had welcomed two children into their family. Mrs. Eilers has been involved with children’s ministry for 20 years and has experience working with children of all ages. The Eilers are excited to be a part of Union City and the surrounding area and looking forward to serving the community in any capacity they can. The new children’s pastor says she looks forward to partnering with parents in developing their children’s relationship with God. She describes herself as a very relational person who enjoys spending time with “her kids” and their families outside the church setting. She enjoys attending children’s sporting and activity events, having lunch with them at school and planning family-friendly events. Mrs. Eilers will be leading children’s church every Sunday morning during the 8:30 and 10:30 services and will also be a part of Sunday 5 p.m. discipleship class that the church offers for all ages. “She has a great vision for reaching out to children of all backgrounds with the love of Christ,” a spokesman said.
