Wallace Howard Workman, 77, of Sidonia, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at his residence. Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden, with Bro. Terry English and Bro. Ray Lainhart officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Gary Baker, Jerry Mitton, Ricky Stafford, James Gallimore, Randy Roberts, Scottie Workman and Ray Workman served as pallbearers. Workman was born in Palmersville, son of the late Theodore and Eddie Elmedia Perry Workman. He was the widower of Carrie Irene Tripp Workman, a maintenance worker for the Weakley County Courthouse in Dresden and a member of Travis Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include his second wife, Ruth Helen Workman of Sidonia; one daughter, Becky Cooper of Martin; two stepdaughters, Kay Gallimore of Sharon and Linda Dykes of Mansfield; one son, Alan Workman of Key Largo, Fla.; two stepsons, Harold Roberts of Bradford and Randy Roberts of Dresden; two sisters, Faye McEntire and Bonnie Watson, both of Dresden; one brother, Ray Workman of Sharon; and seven grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Joe Workman. wcp 10-7-08
