Jimmy and Carole Luker

GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY — A reception honoring the 50th wedding anniversary of Jimmy and Carole Luker of Fulton will be held at 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Pontotoc Community Center in Fulton. The couple met at a town hall dance and later married at Trinity Methodist Church in Clacton-on-Sea, England, on Sept. 27, 1958. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant in 1975 after serving for 20 years. He also retired from Continental General Tire in 2001 after 25 years of service and is now employed part-time at the Hickman County (Ky.) Courthouse as a security guard. She has spent 50 years as a homemaker. The couple has five children and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy Luker Jr. and his wife, DeAnna, and John Luker, all of Clinton, Ky., Jerry Luker of Fulton, Teresa Luker-Harris of Murray, Ky., and Jeff Luker and his wife, Ascenith, of Paris. They have 11 grandchildren. All friends and family are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
