Completed arrangements are being announced for Jewell L. Hastings, 90, of South Fulton. She died Oct. 6, 2008, at Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with Miles Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today and from 8-11 a.m. Wednesday.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or Relay for Life, 302 Carr St., Fulton, KY 42041.
She was born April 24, 1918, in Obion County, daughter of the late Jordan Alvin and Mina (Bondurant) Ferguson. She was the widow of Leroy Hastings and was a homemaker and member of Smith Street Church of Christ in South Fulton.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Samma Hastings of Bruceton and Larry and Trudy Hastings of South Fulton; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Juanita Johnson of South Fulton; and two brothers, Clifford Ferguson of South Fulton and Ray Ferguson of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Myra Taylor, and two sisters and two brothers.
