Floyd Edward Starks, 69, of the Latham community died Oct. 2, 2008, at his home.
Graveside services were 3 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dukedom, with Elder Houston Patrick officiating.
Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Feb. 9, 1939, in Lake County, son of the late Clarence Edward and Rebecca Louise (Tidwell) Starks. He married the former Wanda Jane Carney July 8, 1979, at Oakwood Restaurant in Dresden. She survives. He was a truck driver for Crop Production Services in Palmersville and had lived in Latham most of his life.
Survivors also include his daughter, April Starks of Benton, Ky.; his stepson and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Regina Harrison of Sharon; two brothers, Danny Starks and Donald Starks, both of Amory, Miss.; two sisters, Gladys Burress of Georgia and Betty Smith of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren and the spouse of one, Brandon Kildow, Heather and Carey Adams and Jason Harrison; and a great-grandchild, Gracie Adams.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Waymon Starks; his sister, Wilma Ritz; and his grandchild, Austin Kildow.
