Miss Smith, Robertson to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of D’Anna Leigh Smith of Hornbeak and Cory Lynn Robertson of Troy are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Danny and Shauna Smith of Hornbeak. She is the granddaughter of the late Fay Smith and Inither Smith of Hornbeak and the late Lloyd and Margaret Hayes of Samburg.
She is a 2003 graduate of Obion County Central High School. She is attending the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
She is employed as key server at Bucket’s Pub and Grub in Union City.
The groom-elect is the son of Jim and Susan Robertson of Troy. His grandparents are the late Dr. J.H. Robertson of McKenzie, Zoe Robertson of Birmingham, Ala., and James “Da” and Anita Nicks of Troy.
He is a 2003 graduate of OCCHS and is attending UTM, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
He is employed as a bartender at Bucket’s.
The couple will wed at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 in the old sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Union City. Music will begin at 5:30.
A reception will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Union City immediately following the ceremony.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
