Paul Edward Howard, 60, of Martin, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at his residence. Services were held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home, with Bro. Stan Brooks. Burial was in Cate Cemetery in Martin. James Howard, Jerry Howard, Donnie Howard, Barry Howard, Eric McCartney and Nathan Howard served as pallbearers. Howard was born March 5, 1948, in Hernando, Miss., son of the late Freddie “Skip” and Brunelle Johnson Howard. He was a U.S. Army veteran in Vietnam, retired from Ford Motor Co. and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Survivors include his wife, Lorrie Frazier Howard of Martin; two stepsons, Reese Frazier and Blake Frazier, both of Martin; two daughters, Kimberley Howard of Vermilion, Ohio and Heather McCartney of Sharon; four brothers, James Howard of Amherst, Ohio, Jerry Howard of Senatobia, Miss., Donnie Howard of New London, Ohio, and Barry Howard of Wakeman, Ohio; two sisters, Jean Womack of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Rose Oswalt of Wakeman, Ohio; two grandsons, Scott Gulas of Vermilion, Ohio and Nathan Howard of Sharon.
